Korey Moore and Paul Jenkins, Jr, became friends in grade school and both grew up under the tutelage of Paul Jenkins (MiG’s President and CEO). In 1999, Korey worked with Paul Jr. delivering materials and performing odd jobs here and there for Lasalle, Paul Sr.’s former company. Korey graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2000 with a degree in Communications/ Marketing and began his career in construction. Shortly after graduation, Paul helped him to sign up with the Detroit Construction Laborers Union. In 2000, MiG hired Korey as Safety Coordinator. He completed OSHA training courses and safety management courses that prepared him for a career in safety management. He designs MiG’s corporate safety programs and manages the safety portion of all MiG projects. Korey has become well-rounded on both |
the general industry side which includes work for Ford, Chrysler and GM, and on the construction side which includes work for DTE Energy, Detroit Public Schools, and the State of Michigan. In 2001, MiG received the Construction Users Council Zero Injury Award and that year Korey was promoted to Safety Director. From 2001-2007 he spent time traveling to Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois, as he continued working in Michigan. After gaining additional construction knowledge and experience, Korey began contributing to the overall operations of the company. In 2006, MiG won the AGC Construction Safety Excellence Award for Zero Accidents and Injuries. In 2007, Korey was promoted to Vice President of Field Operations and Safety, and in 2009 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of MiG.
